Taylor Neverman

For the past year I have been the lifestyle director of VIM Magazine-a biannually published fashion, beauty, health, and lifestyle magazine produced in East Lansing, Michigan. As the lifestyle director, I hired my own team of four, planned and ran biweekly meetings, scheduled and styled photo shoots, and wrote articles for both the online blog and the print magazine.

I was responsible for everything that went into my section of the magazine. This required me to keep in close contact to each different section, not only to ensure that there wasn't an overlay in article topics, but also to ensure that all deadlines were being met and that everything needed from me, such as the articles, the layout designs, and the finalized photos, were organized and distributed promptly.

I also interviewed the winner of our annual fashion show that took place in October of 2015 at the VIM Launch Gala. Along with my interview and article about Michael Lemus and his recent and previous success in the fashion industry, I also wrote and interviewed the owner and chef of Glazed and Confused for the magazine's "Local Business Spotlight."

This is the first year that VIM has done a dual cover. The content provided to the left are articles and photoshoots I wrote and scheduled. The rest of the lifestyle section can be found in either issue one or issue two at VIM Magazine's website (starts on page 61).
