Taylor Neverman

The Leading Hotels of the World is an elite listing of some of the most beautiful and luxurious hotels in the world. While in New York, interning for Haute Living, I networked my way into an invite to a tour of htree of New Yorks top hotels. I had to rely on the network of journalists I met in New York to find that this tour was being held. I then went on this tour, took my own pictures, interviewed not only the represents from Leading Hotels of the World, but also the managers of each hotel and the staff, and continued expaning my network with the other journalists aked to join the event.

I am proud of this piece I've written in particular because it was only my second time covering an event on my own. As an intern, I took great pride in knowing that my boss and supervisor trusted me to cover a day long event on my own. I made sure to come with questions I know the magazine would want answered and by the next day, I had this article written and the photographs formatted for publication. After this, I went out on two other events on my own.
