Red Cedar Review

The Red Cedar Review is an online and locally printed literary magazine. I started off at the Red Cedar Review in September of 2014 as a member of the prose team. I quickly was asked to be the lead prose reader, which meant I was in charge of handing out the submissions, scheduling reasonable biweekly deadlines, and representing my team when it came to explaining our decisions on submissions to the managing editor and supervisor.

That same year in November, I was asked to be the co-managing editor of the 50th issue of the literary journal. I shadowed the managing editor in order to ensure that the following year, I would be able to continue the growing success of the journal, I also took on the roles of copyeditor and typesetter, both of which helped my comfortability and skills with using InDesign and copedyeditor's marks.

This last year, I co-managed the 51st issue of the Red Cedar Review alongside a respected colleague of mine. We divided the work to ensure that not only everything got done, but that we adhered to each other's greatest strengths. I managed the submission process and editing process, whereas she managed our website and online presence. We worked well together and the 51st issue of the Red Cedar Review was published without a hitch (okay, well at least not many!).
