Social Media Managing

I started off my social media experience in May of 2012 where I worked under Stephanie Amada, author of “How to Deal With Hookup Culture: an ebook about college life.” I was responsible for promoting both Stephanie Amada as an author as well as her ebook through Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.

 

I furthered my skills in social media managing when my supervisor for my writing and editing internship at Haute Living in New York City added the title of social media manager to my list of responsibilities. I took control over Haute Living’s San Francisco and Los Angeles/Orange County Facebook pages Monday through Sunday, six am to midnight. I would post pictures, articles, and posts that I believed would spark user engagement. I then tracked those posts using Facebook’s tools to see what posts and at what times articles and posts were getting the most likes, comments, and shares.
