Taylor Neverman

For this project I completed for class while studying at Michigan State University, I was asked to perform a medium copyedit using track changes in Microsoft Word. This is just one page of three showing my familiarity and comfortability editing in an online platform. 

To complete this project I used the style sheet provided to me and the Chicago Manual of Style as references to ensure I was correctly revising this chapter entitled, "How to Make an Herbal Tincture." I used my knowledge of editing and of the rules of track changes to communicate efficiently with my professor who was acting as the managing editor of the piece.

I focused on all elements of grammar, language usage, and style while editing this chapter. I made sure to take notice of punctuation errors as well as problems in citations and formatting. It is the job of the copyeditor to be able to make changes with both the overall document along with the minute details that may not seem as important, but that can completely change a sentence or phrase.
