For this project, I was given two manuscripts- one being the approved copy of two chapters by the managing editor, the other being the copy after going through the formatting standards by the typesetting team. As a proofreader, it was my job to analyze both manuscripts and change any discrepancies and differences on the typeset copy in order to ensure that the finalized copy of the chapters met the desired content and style of the managing editor.

In order to complete this task I used the proofreading/copyeditor’s marks, the style guide made specifically for this manuscript, and The Chicago Manual of Style. I used my familiarity and knowledge to complete this both efficiently and diligently, finishing the project three days before its projected due date.
